I was actually searching for a tinted serum when I came across this product. After seeing how beautiful and natural it looked on her skin, I decided to give it a try. I'm so glad I did. I absolutely love the light tint and how natural it looks. It provides the sun protection I need without feeling heavy or looking like traditional makeup. My skin looks healthy and even-toned while still looking like my skin. Zero Complaints About This Sunscreen!
This sunscreen has been wonderful! I have never applied a daily SPF to my face before, though I have heard you really should. I used to be super lazy about my skincare routine. Well, I am 26 now and trying to take it more seriously to combat signs of aging. Naturally, I sought an SPF I could wear daily. While I don’t have other products I could compare this to, it feels wonderful on my skin. The product is tinted a little dark for my fair skin, but one pump covers my face and neck and blends well. It was important to me that the sunscreen was mineral based, so I appreciate the tint to avoid a white cast on my skin. It also layers well under makeup. I have put this on in the morning or afternoon before laying out in the sun by the pool for hours, and my face has not burned once this summer. I also have worn it to the zoo, and reapplied it once or twice to save my skin from burning. It works wonderfully! It does not have much of a smell that I notice, which I appreciate. I was using a face setting spray that had SPF in it, and the sunscreen smell lingered in my nose for much longer than I was comfortable with. I don’t want to smell like a can of sunscreen! I feel like in combination with my vitamin C serum and moisturizer, my skin stays feeling clean and very moisturized with this product. I didn’t realize when I bought this product that it also has hyaluronic acid in it. I feel like it is super moisturizing. I tend to get a lot of breakouts and have sensitivity issues with some skincare products, but I haven’t had a problem with this sunscreen irritating my skin or feeling like it’s clogging up my pores. If you are on the fence about this product, just try it! I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. I am only going to switch to another product because it’s just too expensive for me to justify right now. I’m not excited about taking this one out of my lineup. A fun fact about mineral based sunscreens - they don’t degrade in the sun the same way that chemical ones do, so in theory, they can last much longer. However, they are prone to dissolving in skin oils or being rubbed off from touching your face, so it is important to reapply. I included some pictures so you could see my skin tone and how the product is tinted. The picture is after applying the sunscreen to my face and neck. You can’t tell that the color is dark for me!

I’d give it 100 stars but the packaging is problematic
I could be married to this sunscreen for life but that is not going to happen until they fix the problematic packaging. I decided to try this out, based on a recommendation from DrDray, because she recently made a video on the newly released Deep Tint version. I had never tried any Elta MD sunscreens before. But I had assumed this (regular) tinted version wouldn’t work for my skin tone. But I soon found out the deep tint is actually too dark for me when I use the appropriate amount. Turns out, this “regular” tint is perfect for me! And that doesn’t happen very often. It’s lightweight, spreads easily, and blends flawlessly into my skin. I usually go for mineral formulas but I’d make an exception for this. It doesn’t burn my eyes or cause blurry vision, and doesn’t irritate my oily skin. This has a skin-like finish. Consistency is thin and spreads easily. Formula is comfortable to wear, actually moisturizing, and doesn’t feel drying. Not greasy at all. Reapplying is a breeze when the pump works because sometimes it doesn’t. I keep wipes in the car to wipe off my fingers. The coverage is very sheer, not like Colorscience Flex which has more coverage and a higher price (but I also love). Some of my foundation colors in case it helps you with choosing a shade: Armani 7.8, ELDW Honey Bronze, KVD 063, MUFE 3N42, Haus Labs 330, Dior 4N, Nars Aruba. I use Tan in Colorscience Flex. I noticed many other reviewers have the same complaints about the faulty pump. The pump worked fine on my deep tint bottle. But this one took about 100 pumps, a prayer, and an unwavering spirit to get the very first drop out. Then it didn’t work when I tried to reapply 2 hours later. It’s working again, for now. But I’m concerned it will cause issues in the future. And this price tag is a lot to take a chance on it malfunctioning again in the future. I would not be happy if it breaks before I'm able to finish the bottle. I'm on the fence about exchanging it or returning it and waiting until the packaging changes. Edit to add: I decided to keep it because the formula is that good! And I haven’t had any further issues with the bottle.

BEST sunscreen for sensitive skin!!
My dermatologist told me to try this after every single sunscreen I tried made my face break out. I've had melanoma, so sunscreen is NOT an option for me...it's a MUST!! EltaMD is the perfect solution for those of us who have the worst reactive skin. It's the only one I've tried that doesn't make me break out. Yes, it's a little expensive, but it's worth it if you have highly reactive sensitive skin. Thank you EltaMD for an excellent product for sensitive skin!!
